Job Description
The Tutorial Assistant in Special Needs Education will support teaching, learning, research, and academic activities within the department. The successful candidate will assist lecturers in delivering quality instruction, facilitating tutorials and practical sessions, supporting student learning, and participating in research and community engagement activities. The position is intended to provide foundational academic experience and professional growth within higher education while contributing to the achievement of AMUCTA's academic objectives.
Requirements
Holder of a Bachelor's Degree in Special Needs Education, Inclusive Education, Special Education, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
Minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5.0 or equivalent.
Demonstrated academic excellence and potential for postgraduate studies, teaching, and research.
Ability to assist in teaching, student support, and academic activities.
Basic ICT competency relevant to higher education teaching and learning.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assist lecturers in conducting tutorials, seminars, practical sessions, and fieldwork.
Assist in preparing teaching and learning materials.
Support assessment and examination activities as assigned.
Guide students during tutorials and practical learning activities.
Participate in research and scholarly activities under supervision.
Assist in data collection, analysis, and preparation of research reports.
Participate in academic and departmental activities.
Maintain records related to teaching and learning activities.
Provide academic support and guidance to students where appropriate.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department or other authorized university authorities.
